Communication on the obligations for entry or return to Italy

We inform you that, based on the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health of April 16, 2021, starting from April 19, 2021, and until April 30, 2021, those who intend to travel from India to Italy must:

- Fill in a self-declaration, which a digital localization form will soon replace. Since the digital form will be available, only if it will not be technically possible to fill it in, the paper self-declaration can be used. It is advisable to be ready to show any supporting documentation and to answer any questions from the personnel in charge of the controls;

- Have a certificate stating the negative result of a molecular or antigen test, conducted with a swab, carried out in the forty-eight (48) hours before entry into Italy, to be shown to anyone responsible for carrying out this verification;

- Inform the competent health authority for the territory of their entry into Italy;

- Undergo mandatory fiduciary isolation and health surveillance for a period of ten (10) days from entry into Italian territory;

- You can reach your final destination in Italy only by private vehicle (airport transit is allowed, without leaving the dedicated areas of the airport);

- At the end of the ten (10) days of quarantine, it is mandatory to carry out a further molecular or antigen test, conducted with a swab.

There are exceptions to these obligations.

FULL EXEMPTION: Exceptions to test obligations within 48 hours before arrival, isolation, and subsequent testing
