BIOMETRIC PASSPORT ISSUANCE IN FAVOR OF ADULT APPLICANTS

For the issuance of the biometric passport in favour of adults applicants it is necessary to book an appointment after the registration on the portal PRENOT@MI ( https://prenotami.esteri.it/ ) at the following conditions:

– if the applicant is a resident of India for a period longer than 12 months, he/she should be registered in AIRE and his residence address and civil status details should be updated.

For information regarding the procedures for regularization of your civil status position, consult the Civil Status section Registry Service – Ambasciata d’Italia New Delhi (esteri.it) 

At the time of submission of passport issuance application, the Consular Section officer will verify that the applicant is regularly registered in AIRE and that his/her and his/her family personal data are correctly updated.

On the appointment’s date, the applicant will have to personally submit the following:

1) Passport Application Form;
2) passport ;
3) one photograph (3,5 x 4 cm, on white background, the face should occupy 80% of the image);
4) receipt of the bank transfer of the amount due for passport issuance;
5) It is recommended to send copy of the transfer receipt by email to consolare.newdelhi@esteri.it with copy of the passport and application form at least 3 days before the appointment date.

The biometric passport issuance fees amount to Euro 116, both for minors and adults, and correspond to the booklet cost (Euro 42.50) and the administrative duties (Euro 73.50) to be paid at the time of the passport issuance. BIOMETRIC PASSPORT ISSUANCE IN FAVOR OF MINORS

For the biometric passport issuance, the minors have to be present, along with either of the parents, at the Consular Section on the appointment date. In order to book the appointment, please register at PRENOT@MI ( https://prenotami.esteri.it/ ).
On the appointment’s date, the applicant will have to submit the following:

1. application form for passport issuance in favor of minors, duly filled in and signed by both the parents, along with copy of their identity documents / passports; in alternative, application form for passport issuance in favor of minors filled in and signed by only one of the parents along with the consent declaration signed by the other parent (provided the signatory is an EU citizen or a foreign citizen regularly registered as a resident in Italy), with copy of the identity document/passport of the parent who is not present at the Consular Section in which the holder’s signature should correspond to the signature given on the consent declaration (for citizens of other than EU countries, the consent declaration will have to be signed in person before the Consular Section Officer or, in alternative, the consent declaration can be signed before the Police Headquarters’ officer in Italy or before the Consular officer at any Italian Consular representative outside Italy, if the signatory resides in any other Country and not in India); in case the minor’s parents are separated or divorced and are not in a position to submit the consent declaration signed by the other parent, a request may be addressed to the Head of the Consular Section who, after the required verifications, may issue an authorization for the passport issuance in favour of minors regularly registered as residents within the jurisdiction of the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi;
2. passport;
3. one photograph (3,5 x 4 cm, on white background, face occupying 80% of the image);
4. receipt of the bank transfer of the amount due for passport issuance;
5. It is recommended to send copy of the transfer receipt by email to consolare.newdelhi@esteri.it with copy of the documents listed at n. 1 and 2 at least 3 days before the appointment date.

NOTE: AT THE TIME OF THE ISSUANCE OF THE PASSPORT, THE CONSULAR SECTION OFFICER WILL VERIFY THAT THE DATA REGARDING THE APPLICANT AND HIS/HER FAMILY MEMBERS ARE UPDATED AND THAT NO MODIFICATIONS OR VARIATIONS OCCURRED IN REGARD TO THE RESIDENCE ADDRESS, CIVIL STATUS CONDITION (MARRIAGE OR DIVORCE), BIRTH OF CHILDREN, ETC.
THE CONSULAR SECTION RESERVES ITSELF THE RIGHT TO REQUEST FOR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT DEEMED NECESSARY IN ORDER TO REGULARIZE AND UPDATE THE DATA IN REGARD TO THE APPLICANT AND/OR HIS/HER FAMILY MEMBERS.
APPLICATIONS WITH INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTATION SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
