The sixth meeting of the Italy–India Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism and combating Organised Crime was held in New Delhi on 6 and 7 October.
The Italian delegation, which travelled to India specifically for the occasion, included officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The meetings with their Indian counterparts highlighted a shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation in the fields of security and counter-terrorism, including through the launch of concrete initiatives involving the sharing of best practices, training activities, and exchanges of visits and experts.
The second meeting of the Task Force on the initiative to combat the financing of terrorism, launched by the two Prime Ministers at the G20 Summit in Johannesburg in November 2025, also took place in New Delhi.
