The Entry/Exit System (EES) is the new European border management system that records the crossing of the external borders of 29 European countries by third-country nationals traveling to Europe for a short stay.
Starting from 12 October 2025, the 29 European countries using the EES will gradually introduce this system at their external borders over a period of six months.
During this period, it is possible that travelers’ data will not be collected immediately at every single border crossing point.
Once the gradual rollout is complete, the EES will be fully operational at all external border crossing points.
