Last 29 and 30 April , the Minister of Defence of Italy, Hon\u2019ble Guido Crosetto held an official visit to Delhi, to further enhance defence collaboration between Italy and India.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Minister Crosetto held fruitful consultations with the Raksha Mantri (Minister of Defence of India), Shri Rajnath Singh.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a friendly and productive meeting\u201d commented the Minister. \u201cWe discussed a wide range of regional and global issues, including the current situation in the Middle East. We also explored opportunities to further develop industrial cooperation for defence based on shared interests and mutual benefit\u201d.<\/p>\n
During the visit, \u00a0Minister Singh \u00a0and Minister Crosetto also exchanged the 2026-2027 Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan, a framework to enhance close collaboration between Italian and Indian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n
During his stay in Delhi, Hon\u2019ble Minister Crosetto had also a courtesy call on NSA Ajit Doval. As \u00a0Minister commented, the cordial meeting \u201cfocused on strengthening the strategic dialogue between Italy and India on key international security issues, with particular attention to Indo-Pacific stability, maritime security, freedom of commercial routes.
