Visit of Ambassador Bartoli to Hyderabad (20-21 April)

From business and investments, to tech and innovation. Cultural exchange, language promotion and university cooperation.

Last 20-21 April, Ambassador Bartoli held a productive mission to Hyderabad, capital city of the State of Telangana, assisted by the Consul General Giandomenico Milano and the Scientific Attache’ Marco Re.

The visit aimed at further enhancing momentum in Italy-India ties across different fields of activity.

During the exchange with Sridhar Babu Duddilla, Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Communications, Industries & Commerce legislative Affairs, the focus was on boosting investments, strengthening innovation-driven partnerships, and unlocking closer collaborations across tech and high-impact sectors. From IT, to auto, machinery, and manufacturing.

The visit also included a visit of the Ambassador to T-Hub, the largest innovation campus and premier incubators, home to more than 2000 start-ups).

Alongside it, the Italian delegation also paid visit to T-Works – India’s largest prototyping centre for hardware innovation – and to Genome Valley – leading hub for life sciences R&D, clean manufacturing, biotech, vaccine manufacturing, hosting more than 200 companies.

Both hubs are considered to be amongst the most dynamic IT & tech ecosystem in the whole country. “Italy and India” commented the Ambassador, “are set to build on a shared push towards ever closer synergies in science, technology, and start-ups”.

The visit to Hyderabad carried a meaningful cultural, academic and people to people focus. The Ambassador delved into museology & heritage promotion, by visiting the Salar Jung Museum.

He also held a fruitful exchange with the Vice Chancellor of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), to further addressed avenues for closer university cooperation through language courses, students exchange, talent mobility key pillars of Italy- India partnership.
