In order to facilitate the collection of Visa applications from locations far from the VFS Centers, the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi is pleased to inform that, starting from today, Visa applicants for Italy can submit their applications at one of the new 28 VFS drop boxes located throughout India.
VFS drop boxes are for applicants who are not required to provide biometric data only. This category of applicants comprises:
- Long-term visa applicants (D Visa);
- Children under 12;
- Applicants already holders of Schengen visa issued in the last 59 months (provided that Visa was issued after 28 February 2016).
The following list includes the 29 locations where to apply for a Visa through the drop boxes and their starting operations dates.

Before heading to a VFS drop box, applicants must call the telephone number 022-67866004.
VFS drop boxes are operational every day, from 9.00am to 3.00 pm.
