Competition announcement for ten (10) cash prizes for translations into Italian from foreign languages or into foreign languages from Italian for the following types of works:
a. Literary works in prose and poetry;
b. Works of literary criticism, artistic criticism, essays, scientific research;
c. Cinematographic and theatrical screenplays.
Only translations published no later than 5 years prior to the publication date of the competition announcement, and already published on the date of entry into force of the same will be evaluated. Individual translators, publishers, film and theater production companies of Italian or foreign nationality can apply, but only one request can be made for the same work. While evaluating, priority will be given to translations of works that relate to the life and work of Raffaello Sanzio or to those which present elements of connection with the commemorations of the five hundredth death anniversary of the artist.
The deadline for sending applications is May 31st, 2019.
