Fiscal Code

Fiscal Code

The tax code is essential for any person who has to carry out financial transactions relating to property and / or inheritance in Italy and is therefore also issued to those who are not Italian citizens.
The service is free and is reserved for private citizens. Companies must request the tax code in Italy at the headquarters of the Revenue Agency competent for the territory.

How to apply

The citizen (Italian or foreign) who needs to obtain the tax code can submit the request to this Consular Chancellery:
1) By ordinary mail, by filling out the appropriate form, attaching a photocopy of your passport (including the page with residence details)

2) By e-mail (consolare.newdelhi@esteri.it) attaching the requirements referred to in point 1.

In case of loss or destruction of the tax code, the duplicate can be requested in the same way as the attribution.

PIN code to access FISCONLINE telematic services

Italian citizens temporarily abroad and those registered with AIRE can use the electronic service for submitting tax returns, called Fisconline.
In order to use the service at the Consular Chancellery you must send an email

a: consolare.newdelhi@esteri.it, attaching a scan of your valid identity document (passport or identity card) and the request for the PIN code, made to the Revenue Agency.

The Consular Registry will validate the request and send the applicant the first four digits of the pin code, the password for the first access to the reserved area of telematic services and instructions for obtaining the second part of the pin code from the Revenue Agency.
